Alistar Overeem’s defense attorney called his client’s doctor to appeal hearing

Alistar Overeem, a UFC fighter, appealed his suspension that was received by him for intake of anabolic steroids in April 2012. But Alistar Overeem couldn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC. He forfeited his license for nine months. Then Alistar Overeem can come back.
Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he had administered injectable testosterone that was advised him by his health care provider. Overeem used the strategy which was claimed to be boring. He noticed that he had never taken anabolic steroids or other related products intentionally. He tried to make the NSAC believe that his injectable usage of steroids was accidental.
David Chenoff, the defense attorney for Alistar Overeem, is experienced in defending well-known sportspeople.
Chesnoff called the personal doctor of Alistar Overeem to testify during the appeal. It was supposed that Dr. Molina would testify in defense for this athlete. Testimonies of this health care provider were too pitiable. The doctor Molina presented an explanation for prescriptions of several medications that led to Overeem’s enhanced testosterone: epitestosterone ratio.
The treating doctor of Alistar Overeem admitted that he indicated and injected his patient with a mixture of Toradol and Dexamethasone because he suffered from an injury. In fact, these medications are taken for anti-inflammatory purposes. But application of testosterone in case of injuries is not approved by the FDA.
It is supposed that the physician Molina hasn’t warned his patient that these remedies contain the anabolic steroid testosterone. But it is obviously that he has never asked about it.
Thus, testimonies of Dr. Molina turned out to display lack of the evidence connected with clinical needs for administration of prohibited medications by Alistar Overeem. The health care provider couldn’t present any reasonable explanation that could justify recommendations of Toradol and Dexamethasone to this athlete. Testimonies of the physician Molina worked against Alistar Overeem.
In fact, it became evident that Alistar Overeem was a victim of the physician’s quack.
