American youth idolize sports stars

American youth adore their sports stars. They have already many such idols from the days of the baseball players Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson till the stars of today: the football player Peyton Manning and the baseball player Derek Jeter. Youth observe and repeat their every move.
Isn’t it dangerous to idolize sports stars of nowadays? It may be risky. Today sports heroes get millions of dollars because of steroid use. However the NFL and the MLB fight against doping, the war seems to be unsuccessful. Administration of steroids like cancer destructs sports. However American youth are educated about severe unwanted symptoms of these medicines, the results are not good.
It is said that youth are suppressed to apply steroids. They put efforts to meet the needed criteria of college admission; they adore current professional sportspeople. The all these factors induce administrating steroids.
Undoubtedly, all parents want their children to be successful. If children go info sports, their parents want them to win and to continue to play professionally. Children realize that it is not easy to do it. Which are the results? The pressure impacts greatly on American youth. Over 10 % of teenagers feel that they have to lie in order to be successful. College admission levels have dropped because of budget cuts. The Recovery Place proclaims that it may cause the situation, when high school students will look for other ways to have ability to stand out among crowds. Abuse of steroids can seem for teenagers to be the best alternative method.
American youth know that a lot of professional sportspersons have succeeded differently. Some of them did it due to their talents and hard workouts; others used steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. If American youth follow those who dope, which will be the consequences?
Prolonged intake of steroids may cause addiction to these drugs. Moreover, users of steroids may experience such unwanted reactions, as liver tumors, cancer, high blood pressure, icterus, kidney disorders and bad cholesterol. These adverse effects are considered to be dangerous; they may threaten to life.
Of course, parents don’t desire to see their children ill. They want their children to reach goals because devotion to sports and intensive workouts. But it is difficult to do it because many others cheat, taking steroids. Now it is time to do everything to push out steroids. These products shouldn’t disturb to make real our dreams.

Baseball hasn’t past yet the black clouds of steroids

There is a theme that induces heated discussions. Especially baseball fans are excited, when they hear about steroids and their impact on this sport. Thus, in case you want to cause hot debates, you only need to note that certain baseball stars win due to administration of steroids.
Various people have various points of view, when it comes to the theme about steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to comprehend why some persons that play baseball take steroids. Do they play baseball just for money? Are they so blinded by money and other awards that they do everything for these perspectives? Of course, the most respected baseball players are those who don’t apply steroids and win due to natural talents. Those deserve respect, honor and awards who are not lured to dope for achievement of their goals.
It is believed that steroid users must not be elected for the Hall of Fame. It represents trying to escape from shame connected with the steroid era. You can see efforts to leave all unpleasant effects in past and to move further. But do these efforts to blame steroid users mean that the steroid era is over? Actually, a wrong impression is created here. The steroid era is not behind us yet. Those who believe that blaming steroid users mean that baseball is drug-free are mistaken.
Everybody knows that numerous players of baseball have taken anabolic steroids and other related products. Moreover, nobody doubts that nowadays there are such players of baseball that continue to take forbidden medications. A lot of persons debate whether a player with average skills can become great due to intake of prohibited drugs. Certain persons claim that without appropriate talents steroids don’t profit. Talents should present. Others don’t agree with this affirmation. They claim that steroids have ability to increase performance whatever talent a person has.
But the problem is that we blame players that dope alone. But not only sportspersons must be condemned for the steroid era. Everybody knows what happens actually during the steroid era.
It is unlikely that the steroid era is over. Baseball hasn’t yet past the dark clouds. Usage of steroids is still deeply in the soul of baseball. Decisive efforts should present to be convinced that doping doesn’t affect baseball longer.

Why do Dominicans aspire to obtain a contract to play in the MLB?

The Major League Baseball put efforts to prevent intake of steroids. It desires to nip doping in the bud. Then it will be capable to reach the big show. One of the locations where the efforts of the MLB are applied and clearly seen is the Dominican Republic.
Those that live in the Dominican Republic want to play professional baseball in the U. S. This is not only a dream. This desire becomes real. So, the whole family drives. Unluckily, numerous individuals are inclined to use steroids and other related drugs which increase performance to achieve their goal.
The Dominican Republic is a country where numerous persons take steroids and other drugs which enhance performance. That’s why an athlete from this location is asked whether he has taken steroids or other related medications. Undoubtedly, this person confirms that he has never doped because tests are performed and everybody fears to be caught administrating any controlled substance.
The MLB subjects to tests players from the Dominican Republic. So, one year 13 persons out of 40 tested amateur athletes from this location tested positive. The MLB intends to tests Dominicans and to punish those that dope.
It is reported that the number of Dominicans that are sent to the MLB is significantly higher than the number of players that are sent from all countries of the Latin America.
The MLB tries to push steroids out of baseball. Amateur players are taught about risks for their health related to steroids. They are taught about unwanted symptoms which can be caused by steroids.
The financial position of the Dominican Republic is a significant problem in this case. The average salary is approximately 8, 5000 dollars per year there. To obtain a signing bonus of 180, 000 dollars is a real achievement for any athlete from this Republic. That’s why sportspersons from this location are especially inclined to dope for such perspectives. They desire to obtain a contract for playing professional baseball in the MLB. They desire to obtain it for well-being of their families and for improvement quality of life in future. Obtaining a contract means moving from a rented small house to a private home, from poverty to normal conditions of life, from travelling by public transport to driving own car.
In fact, administration of steroids is not a problem only in the Dominican Republic. It is a problem that corrupts the whole world. No one sportsperson may be sure whether he competes against a person that has natural skills and talents or against an individual who administrates steroids and other related medications. That’s why it is necessary to nip usage of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the bud.
Youth must be educated about troubles connected with doping not just in the Dominican Republic or just in the U. S. but around the world.

Baseball will be soon clean

The Major League Baseball experienced certain troublesome periods of time. It survived two situations that are considered to be 2 world wars for baseball: the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the betting of Pete Rose on baseball. Nowadays the MLB suffers from steroid era. It is widely believed that it will have capability to survive this period as well. There was a case that had a significant impact on baseball too. It was the case connected with Barry Bonds.
Undoubtedly, Barry Bonds was not the only player of the MLB who used performance-enhancing drugs. Furthermore, he is not the last of them. A lot of baseball players have administrated prohibited medications to increase performance. Many players of baseball have gotten praise and millions of dollars due to administration of banned drugs.
The sums of money that can be obtained justify the risks related to usage of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The baseball players who apply prohibited products don’t worry so scrupulously about their reputation, as they trouble about getting money. Such persons are responsible for the influence that is spread upon fans that try to be similar to them and upon future generation that will have hot discussions about the steroid era in baseball.
Nobody doubts that any baseball player who takes steroids destroys his honor. It is made only for money. Such individual trades own reputation just for obtaining money.
Nonetheless, it is believed that future of baseball is without steroid use. Many baseball players possess talents and proper skills; they train intensively and dedicate themselves totally to this sport. They are honest individuals. They keep their image. Such individuals love baseball truthfully. They do not worry only about money. Such baseball players are motivated by true love to baseball.
In fact, the MLB is against steroids. But unfortunately, there are individuals in every sport who profit from usage of steroids.
Our hope is bright: we believe that the day comes, when we’ll see athletes that compete not because of usage of steroids and other related drugs but due to natural talents, skills and hard workouts.

People use and/or sell steroids because money controls their minds

The theme related to steroids appears everywhere. It is widely discussed by numerous people. Every day a lot of articles mention about these preparations. You read news that report about people that administrate steroids. You come across situations related to those who are caught selling steroids and sentenced to probation or imprisonment. However steroids are prescribed for various people to cure them from some diseases, administration of these drugs for enhancement of performance is more widely spread. It seems that it destroy the whole world.
Many persons are controlled by money. If they can earn money due to sales or intake of anabolic steroids, they do it. They are not stopped by the steroid laws. They use and distribute these medications, in spite of the fact that they are considered to be illicit in certain countries. Numerous individuals violate steroid laws because they may obtain money, distributing and/or using steroids.
Undoubtedly, you have read several articles about wrestlers that have applied prohibited products for many years. Some of consumers died of sudden attacks, being young. But nobody wants to realize that fatal cases happen because steroids. A lot of people deny connections between dangerous diseases and usage of steroids.
The Major League Baseball wants to escape from steroid era. We hope that the time comes, when baseball will be played without steroids and winners will be decided due to natural talent and skills of players but not due to medications that have performance-enhancing effects.
It is impossible to be sure that you comprehend how wide spread intake of banned products is in professional and non-professional sports. Administration of steroids by competitive sportspeople is cheating. If sportspersons use medicines that enhance performance, they lie. They take unfair advantage during competitions.
Any steroid user who goes info sports should define whether he/she has talent to be involved in sports. If he/she is not able to compete, he/she must have another job. Each individual must do the job he/she really is able to do. So, if you are not able to play football, you should do another job.
There is a hope that intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs will be pushed out of sports. It may be that this time will be soon in the future. Who knows?

Non-competitive athletes and recreational bodybuilders suffer from consequences linked with violation of steroid laws

Steroid laws that ban intake of anabolic steroids have appeared not without any reason. They turned out to be responses to widespread intake of steroids in competitive sports. Anti-Doping Agencies believed that ban of steroids would keep professional sportspeople far from intake of illegal medications. But criminalization of steroids influenced on usage of steroids by competitive sportspersons slightly.
The steroid laws usually do not prosecute athletes that take illegal preparations. On the contrary, non-competitive sportspersons and recreational bodybuilders are usually targets of the steroid laws. They suffer due to consequences of violation of these laws.
This is not just one’s point of view. This is reality. Let see: who is sentenced to prison because of selling steroids? For example, Ashley Dewayne Rivers of Alabama was sentenced to 5-month imprisonment because he had sold about $2000 worth of steroids to a doctor. In fact, this person was not the target of a steroid investigation. He only turned out to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The estranged wife of this doctor said to federal investigators that her husband was involved in operations of black steroid market. So, the statement of this woman led to the situation, when the doctor was investigated.
In fact, Ashley Rivers was a supplier of steroids for short period of time. He sold these medicines to his friends. James Robinson, the defense attorney for Ashley Rivers, claimed that his client had understood his guilty totally and taken the whole responsibility for his illegal actions. The attorney stated that Rivers was a good individual. However he violated the steroid laws, he realized the dangers and admitted to his guilty.
The attorney James Robinson asked the judge to sentence his client only to probation. Ashley Rivers cared about his wheelchair-bound wife, 2 adopted children and 3 children of his disabled brother. Furthermore, Ashley Rivers sacrificed about 40, 000 dollars for people that lost their homes due to tornadoes. It would be better, if this man were sentenced to probation. He would continue his work for his family and other individuals.
But Christopher Brinson, the Assistant U. S. Attorney, refused the request of James Robinson. He stated that Rivers committed a serious crime and he must serve time in jail. However the judge was inclined to agree with the request of the defense attorney James Robinson at the beginning, finally he decided to agree with the Assistant U.S. Attorney and sentenced Ashley Rivers to 5 months in prison.
You may observe that steroid laws don’t influence on professional sportspeople.

Jose Canseco will probably never escape from his steroid past

Jose Canseco is a Cuban-American former player of the Major League Baseball. He was banned for administration of steroids. Jose Canseco wrote a book “Juiced” in which he noted that a lot of players of the MLB administrated steroids.
Now Jose Canseco has been invited to play for the Tigres de Quintana Roo of Cancun. Jose Canseco has talked about his dreams to play in the MLB again. This person has written on Twitter that Cancun is his following step towards the MLB.
This person has not played professional baseball since 2001 after he had played for the Chicago White Sox. This player was probably blackballed by baseball because of his descriptions linked with steroids and presented in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”. He has called himself the “godfather” of steroids in baseball and took credit for introducing these medicines in baseball. This baseball player openly admitted in his book that he had used anabolic steroids and other drugs that have performance-enhancing effects. Jose Canseco mentioned also names of other baseball players that administrated steroids. Such baseball players, as Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi were named by Jose Canseco.
However anabolic steroids may be purchased without any prescription at Mexican pharmacies, they are prohibited in MLB.
According to several reports, Jose Canseco will be tested for forbidden drugs by the Quintana Roo Tigers.
Jose Canseco claims that he has stopped taking steroids several years ago. According to certain sources, since stopping administrating steroids it had been recommended testosterone replacement therapy for him to treat some problems linked with reduced level of testosterone.
Jose Canseco noticed that he had had some adverse symptoms because of administration of steroids. Thus, his physician had to recommend him a testosterone gel to relieve from reduced libido and depression.
While Jose Canseco put efforts to restore his natural production of testosterone, he got certain troubles with laws. This person was detained for about 9 hours by the San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he had been caught possessing HCG at the international border. Jose Canseco’s house was raided by law enforcement officers but no any steroids were found.
However Jose Canseco will never escape from his steroid past, he tries to continue playing professional baseball.

Medical criteria for obtaining of a TUE in MMA

Several mixed martial artists have publicly admitted that they take anabolic steroids as a part of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) that has been recommended by health care providers. The executive director of the Nevada State Athletic commission (NSAC) Keith Kizer confirms that this factor has created an impression among major individuals that steroid exemptions are given to permit MMA fighters to use the steroid testosterone.
During an interview with Ben Fowlkes of MMA Fighting Kizer noted that several individuals believed that any fighter could get exemptions for usage of testosterone. He noticed that he couldn’t say it about other states but he mentioned about the situation in Nevada. According to the executive director of the NSAC, it is 50/50 whether a request for steroid exemption will be approved.
TRT is a treatment which is required for adult men with hypogonadism (reduced levels of testosterone). If sportspersons correspond to the medical criteria, they can be allowed to take steroids.
The NSAC has strict requirements for fighter who want to get a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for usage of steroids. An athlete should have the document that displays that blood levels of testosterone are low. But if an athlete has reduced testosterone level, it is not enough to obtain a TUE. Treating doctors must identify reasons and medical conditions. The details linked with testosterone replacement therapy must be described by health care providers as well. Every detail should display that a fighter has to administrate testosterone for medical needs and intake of steroids will not give unfair advantage to the athlete.
Certain top athletes of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have used steroids for TRT. Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt, Dennis Hallman and Dan Henderson are included in the group of stars that administrate steroids for therapeutic purposes.
The executive director of the NSAC claims that prohibition of steroids makes MMA safer. He notes that if a fighter uses steroids, he/she takes unfair advantage as if it is used knuckles that are hidden inside gloves. Thus, this is not just cheating. This aspect is linked with risks for life. If you say to a fighter that you can put knuckles in the gloves so, as no one will know it, this person will say you not to bother him. But it is strangely that such person administrates steroids.
No one doubts that usage of steroids has possible risks to enhance the harm which can occur in MMA.

Corey Gahan doesn’t want to talk with his father that injected him with steroids, when he was 13

James Gahan injected his son Corey who is 13 years old with anabolic steroids. He wanted him to become an Olympic athlete.
This boy is an inline skating champion at the national level. This boy won the 2004 Inline Speed Skating Nationals. He also won the 2nd place at the 2005 National Indoor Speed Skating Championship.
The father of Corey pleaded guilty in possessing and injecting steroids to his young son. This person collaborated with a trainer from Florida to provide the young athlete with following preparations: testosterone, Deca Durabolin, HGH and HCG. He was arrested in May, 2004. As a result of his illegal actions, he was sentenced to 6-year imprisonment.
Since James Gahan had already completed his time in a jail, he was released. He began to confirm that his attitude to steroids and other banned preparations had been changed wholly. He discussed with high school athletes about dangers linked with usage of steroids. It was a part of his community service to which James Gahan had been sentenced by the court.
This individual said nothing about influence of steroids on the life and health of his 13-year old son. This person mentioned only about own experiences with these medications. James Gahan noticed that if anyone desired to see undesirable results of anabolic steroids, he might display them because he took these products. This person noted that he administrated 45 pills daily and his insides had eroded.
In fact, James didn’t explain what he meant, claiming that his insides had eroded due to steroids. He didn’t say anything about his illness which required 45 tablets daily!
James Gahan said about his son Corey that he had known everything they had done. But he noticed that since he was the father, he took the whole responsibility upon himself. But he concluded that it would be better for Corey to admit that he had cheated.
But Corey doesn’t desire to communicate with his father who has provided him with steroids. Earlier he has reported that his father has never been sorry for giving steroids to him; he has been sorry because he has been caught doing it.

Colin Daynes blames his doctor for usage of prohibited medicines

The Greco-Roman wrestler Colin Daynes wanted to represent Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. Unfortunately, his dreams will not be real. Administration of banned drugs caused this unpleasant case. Colin Daynes was caught using steroids, diuretics and a selective estrogen receptor modulator.
Earlier this wrestler won the 74 kg division at the Canadian Wrestling Qualification Trials.
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports proclaimed that Colin Daynes had tested positive for such banned preparations, as boldenone, drostanolone, furosemide and tamoxifen. Boldenone and drostanolone are anabolic steroids that are better known under their trade names: Equipose and Masteron. When it comes to Tamoxifen, it is known as Nolvadex. This medicine is usually administrated in combinations with certain others to minimize fluid retention. Furosemide or Lasix is a diuretic. Wrestlers take this medicine as well as other diuretics to lose body weight in order to correspond to requirements of certain weight classes.
Colin Daynes acknowledged that he had used anabolic steroids and other prohibited preparations intentionally. This wrestler noticed that he had administrated these products to get recovery from a partially-torn bicep and an elbow injury. But this wrestler added that he hadn’t known that these preparations were forbidden by the WADA. Daynes blamed his doctor for this factor. He said that he had consulted a naturopathic physician who recommended him taking these products. Colin Daynes noted that if he had known that the drugs were forbidden, he would not have competed.
The Greco-Roman wrestler represented Canada at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After he won the national trials in 2008 he intended to compete at the Beijing Olympics. But he didn’t participate in this Olympics because he couldn’t qualify at the international level. But due to administration of prohibited medications Colin Daynes has received 2-year ban. It means that colin Daynes is not permitted to compete till December 2012, when his athletic career ends as well.
Colin Daynes reported that he had represented the native country proudly. He concluded that people could judge him, if they wanted to do it after his 25-year successful career and everything he had done.

Lance Armstrong denies steroid use

The case against Lance Armstrong connected with doping is announced to be closed. He remains to be considered a champion that won at the Tour de France 7 times.
It is known that federal prosecutors put efforts to determine whether this cyclist and his teammates have taken part in a doping program. The duration of the investigation has been about 2 years.
Lance Armstrong denied that he has doped. The accusations against Lance Armstrong threatened not only to his athletic career but also to his Foundation of cancer research and support. The efforts to prove that this athlete took steroids were in vain.
Lance Armstrong noted that he had heard that the US Attorney’s Office decided to close the investigation. He confirmed that it was a right decision. Armstrong concluded that he was waiting to continue his usual life, being a father, a competitor and an advocate in the fight against cancer.
The attorney Andre Birotte proclaimed during a press conference that the US Attorney’s Office closed the investigation linked with the case of Lance Armstrong. This person didn’t notice about any reason of this decision. But he indicated that come previous similar cases were also closed.
For example, the case connected with Barry Bonds was claimed to be less-than-successful. Prosecutors couldn’t prove that this athlete had lied about intake of steroids. As for the case connected with Roger Clemens, the trial was indicated for another time because the judge announced about previous mistrial.
Investigators suspected that a doping program was organized by Armstrong’s team. They wanted to determine whether it was so as they thought. Authorities investigated whether Lance Armstrong encouraged or promoted doping.
In fact, prosecutors put efforts to define whether Armstrong and his team broke federal conspiracy and fraud charges. While Barry Bonds testified before a federal grand jury and Clemens testified before Congress, Armstrong wasn’t forced to testify before a grand jury. Barry Bonds and Clemens were accused in lying under oath.
Frank, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, and her wife Betsy Andreu charged Armstrong with intake of performance-enhancing drugs. They claimed that they were shocked by the decision to close the case. They concluded that such situations happened due to money and corruption.

Science doesn’t support the links between steroid use and brain cancer

Norm Fost, the professor of Wisconsin’s University, claims about certain common misconceptions connected with anabolic steroids. Although some specialists note about serious and even life-threatening undesirable reactions of anabolic steroids, the physician Fost denies these affirmations, claiming that they don’t have any scientific basis.
But affirmations of Norm Fost are not so frequently quoted by media as affirmations about severe undesirable symptoms of steroids. Thus, the message of Norm Fost that steroids are not so harmful, as it is believed, is written once for every 500-time affirmation that steroids represent a real evil.
Moreover, editors usually mislead readers, writing the quotes of Norm Fost incorrectly. For example, a headline of a radio talk sounds following: “UW-Madison doctor: steroids aren’t harmful at all”. The headline is wrong. It is misleading. Norm Fost has never confirmed that steroids were not harmful at all. It is evident that these preparations can cause different negative results. Norm doesn’t deny risks of occurring side symptoms. In fact, this specialist says some other things. This specialist notices that possible risks of steroids are essentially exaggerated. This specialist denies the affirmation that steroids lead to the rare type of brain cancer. According to certain sources, this led to the death of Lyle Alzado, a player of the NFL. Dr. Fost confirms that there is no any link between the death of this player and steroids.
Alzado demonized his prolonged steroid abuse for the primary brain lymphoma that finally caused his death. Assertion of this person was the only evidence that indicated about the connection between his intake of steroids and the brain cancer.
But a question appears here. Why did Alzado make public his steroid use, blaming anabolic steroids for his illness? Couldn’t you find this fact strange?
Actually, it was said that AIDS had suppressed his immune system and induced destroying his body by the primary brain lymphoma.
A pathologist said that Alzado had had T-cell lymphoma that was linked with AIDS. According to Dr. Thomas DeLoughery, Alzado feared that the public would know that he died from AIDS because of the cancer.
Pathologists at OHSU reported that this football player had had B-cell lymphoma which was not connected with HIV or AIDS.
The doctor DeLoughery explained the case. He noticed that T-cells of this person were inflamed but the malignant cells were B-cells.
While specialists disputed about AIDS and the type of cancer which Lyle Alzado had, no one of them confirmed about connection between his brain lymphoma and intake of steroids.

Anna Watson didn’t agree to administrate steroids

Anna Watson, an university cheerleader of Georgia, noted that she was pressured to administrate steroids to get a fitness modeling contract. Her modeling agent indicated her to take Anavar in order to obtain needed 50 pounds of muscles. This person was tempted but finally she refused to take steroids. Anna Watson confirmed that her body was “a temple” and she wouldn’t destroy it.
This lady claimed that she had been tempted by steroid use numerous times. The agent put efforts to present steroids as something good.
It was noticed that she would obtain a $75,000 per year fitness modeling contract, if she take steroids and get 50 pounds of muscles. This lady said that she told representatives of Elite Model Management in Paris. Elite is one of the most prestigious modeling networks. Such famous models, as Adriana Lima, Cindy Crawfors and Gisele Bundchen belong to Elite.
But Anna Watson preferred to be a cheerleader at the University to being implicated in the glamorous world. Furthermore, she refused to administrate steroids because this aspect wasn’t in harmony with her religious principles. this lady noted that she didn’t serve a modeling agent but the Lord. She added that she had been created as a beautiful creation. This person concluded that she wouldn’t break her moral and religious principles only to take photos. This lady made a decision not to destroy her health.
Several questions appear, reading these affirmations. Somebody could ask whether Elite Model Management looks for models who have the same appearance like competitive female bodybuilders. Or may be Anna Watson just want to draw people’s attention by taking advantage of negative attitude to steroids?
It is said that if Anna Watson acquires 50 pounds of muscles, she will be allowed to compete on national bodybuilding stage. But what is for contract of 75, 000 dollars per year? Athletes know that such sums of money are not got easily even in sports. But can such large sum of money be obtained from modeling agency? It is controversial.
Women that are involved in bodybuilding compete greatly to obtain prize money. Women with muscular appearance are more likely to receive money from “schmoes” (men that have sexual fetish for muscular females) than from the most prestigious modeling agencies.

2 synthetic steroids were contained in the supplement that was administrated by King Mo Lawal

King Mo Lawal admitted that he had administrated a dietary supplement which was tainted. As it turned out to be, that supplement contained 2 ingredients that were synthetic steroids. According to this fighter and his manager, intake of this product led to positive for Masteron.
Lawal said during an interview for MMA Hour that he had bought “S-Mass Lean Gainer” in a Max Muscle store in April, 2010. This supplement was manufactured by Steel Body Production.
But this is not the case, when steroid ingredients are not disclosed. Synonyms of forbidden products are written on the label of this supplement. Actually, these steroids were the subjects of certain debates between anti-doping agencies and federal regulators since 2005. They are following: 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol and 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-a-andro4-ene3, 17b-diol. These medicines are better known under the names: Superdrol and Promagnon.
As for Superdrol, it goes by methyldrostanolone, methasteron and 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol. So, methylated version of Masteron was determined in the urine sample of Lawal by a proper lab of the anti-doping agency.
The pharmaceutical company Anabolic Resources was the first which sold Superdrol as a dietary supplement. It was over 5 years ago. This company was accused in elaborating of a new unapproved medication. Later Anabolic Resources pleaded guilty and admitted that they had sold a synthetic steroid as a dietary supplement. As a result, this pharmaceutical company had to pay a fine of 500, 000 dollars.
As for Promagnon, it also originally appeared as a dietary supplement in 2005 by Peak Performance’ Labs. The government didn’t take any action against this company for manufacturing and selling this steroid. But this pharmaceutical company decided to discontinue manufacturing this steroid in 2006.
However legal status of these two substances is controversial, a lot of companies have produced and sold them as dietary supplements during about 6 years. Undoubtedly, persons that are involved in this industry know about the status of these substances but they continue to sell them.
Mike Kogan, the manager for King Mo Lawal, says that the full responsibilities should be taken by the companies that market synthetic steroids as dietary supplements. He believes that such companies misguide people intentionally.

Ryan Braun addressed with a speech during the dinner of Baseball Writers Association

Although Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers faces a ban for usage of anabolic steroids, he accepted his Most Valuable Player Award at the dinner of Baseball Writers Association. This sportsman didn’t admit to usage of forbidden medications. This player confirmed that he had become a victim of a false positive. He fights against the results which have been announced.
Altough it has been recently discussed whether users of steroids are allowed to be voted for Baseball’s Hall of Fame, they do not lose their Most Valuable Player awards. Even admitted consumers of steroids keep their MVP awards.
Jack O’Connell claimed that Ryan Braun would be allowed to keep the MVP awards. Earlier other consumers of steroids were allowed also to keep their MVP awards. For example, Ken Caminity kept his 1996 MVP award; Alex Rodriquez kept his 2003 MVP award. Both these athletes acknowledged that they had taken steroids.
According to testosterone: epitestosterone (T: E) ratio, Ryan Braun had enhanced level of testosterone in October 2011. The T: E ratio has manifested about exogenous type of testosterone. In fact, this test can’t display actual amount of used testosterone.
Another method of testing was applied by the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab in Montreal to confirm the analysis of the T: E ratio testing. It was used carbon isotope ratio testing which indicated about existence of exogenous testosterone.
Several sportswriters supposed that Ryan Braun should have forfeited his MVP awards because of the positives for banned drugs. But this person made another decision. Ryan Braun decided to accept the awards and address with the speech about false accusations in intake of steroids. This player noticed that characters of persons are revealed in such cases of adversary. This baseball player noted that he had a great respect to baseball. He added that he made a lot for his career in this sport but he had done everything with respect and appreciation to baseball.
It was said that Braun had been one of the youngest players of the Major League Baseball that didn’t feel needs to use steroids to be able to play. When this player found out about positive of Alex Rodriquez for steroids, he was too surprised. He mentioned that Alex Rodriquez should have been enough honest to say about usage of banned preparations.
Ryan Braun decided to fight against the results of his tests, confirming that unusual circumstances surrounded this situation. He mentioned that he would display his innocence and false positives.

Alexandre Dougnier has been banned for 3 years

Usage of anabolic steroids and other drugs that increase performance is widespread among amateur as well as professional athletes. It isn’t surprisingly, if sportspersons test positive for prohibited products. But there are certain unusual situations, when a person tests positive for numerous prohibited medicines. Here is a case.
The teenage amateur French cyclist Alexandre Dougnier tested positive for more than 10 banned medicines, including more than 5 steroid metabolites. It was at a race in France in May, 2011. He has received 3-year ban from competitions.
It was determined that this person had administrated such steroids, as Anavar, Dianabol and Winstrol. Other steroid metabolites that were discovered in his urine sample were following; 3-Hydroxystanozolol, 16b-Hydroxystanozolol, 4b-Hydroxystanozolol, Oxandrolone, epi-Oxandrolone, 6b-Hydroxymethandienone and 17-epi-Methandienone.
Alexandre Dougnier was a member of the Parisian Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. Some individuals note that Alexandre Dougnier might have been a follower of the club’s doper Jacques Anquetil. This person has been claimed to be a celebrated individual of cycling’s history. He was a member of the club de Boulogne-Billancourt in 1950s and 1960s. He was the first cyclist that had won the Tour de France 5 times. He had received also 2 Olympic medals.
Jacques Anquetil took steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Moreover, this cyclist defended doping during a TV debate with the French sports minister. He said that it was impossible to endure cold, heat waves and rain in mountains during cycling without doping. He mentioned that only a fool individual would endure these conditions connected with the extreme sport of cycling without doping. This well-known cyclist added that drug testing might deprive personal liberty. Jacques Anquetil said that everyone doped.
It is important to know steroids were not so widespread among cyclists in 1950s and 1960s. Usage of more dangerous amphetamines was more widespread during those years. As for administration of anabolic steroids, it has become more enhanced during past 2 decades.
Let see which affirmations have been said about steroids, when other cyclists have been caught using them. When Floyd Landis was caught applying testosterone, it was claimed by his legal team that neither anabolic steroids, nor other performance-enhancing drugs were capable to increase performance in cyclists. As for the distributor of steroids Joseph Papp, he didn’t agree with this affirmation. He mentioned that intake of steroids was widespread in elite cycling. According to his words, any individual can administrate testosterone gels in a clever way without being caught by anti-doping programs: users of transdermal testosterone must take in consideration detection time.
Alexandre Dougnier was not cautious and didn’t attempt to avoid detection. He probably didn’t suppose that cyclists would be tested for banned medications at the race in Aubervilliers.

King Mo Lawal proclaims that he is not guilty

Quinton Rampage Jackson and King Mo Lawal don’t like each other. They didn’t display their dislike to each other for certain years. During an interview Lawal told about their relationships, noticing that he doesn’t like Rampage Jackson that also doesn’t like him.
That’s why it isn’t surprisingly at all that Rampage Jackson expressed his thoughts about the fact linked with Lawal’s positive for drostanolone (Masterone).
Jackson confirmed that it was quite obvious that Lawal had used steroids. He noted that King Mo wasn’t a real fighter. He took steroids to be capable to fight.
Quinton Rampage Jackson said that there were fighters that were permitted to administrate steroids. He referred to those who had to administrate steroids for testosterone replacement therapy. This fighter noted that it was a great difference between goals. Fighters and other sportspersons are permitted to administrate steroids for TRT and not for enhancement of performance, according to this mixed martial artist.
This mixed martial artist confirms that there are people who have certain health problems. They consult their health care providers that prescribe steroids. They use these preparations to become healthier and to stay competitive. But Jackson adds that there are fighters that use steroids to increase their performance. It is very sadly, according to this mixed martial artist.
However, intake of steroids for testosterone replacement therapy by athletes is a quite controversial question.
Such fighters, as Dennis Hallman, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson admitted that they had taken steroids because of hypogonadism.
Thus, Rampage Jackson is a fighter who confirmed about permission to use steroids as a part of TRT by athletes. But there are other fighters who don’t support this point of view. A lot of athletes have the same opinion as Michael Bisping has. They think that administration of steroids is just justified by clinical conditions. They believe that all fighters that use anabolic steroids, claiming that they are on TRT, are cheaters.
King Mo Lawal says that he is not guilty, claiming that his manager has heard nothing about the steroid Masterone. Both King Mo Lawal and his manager say that they are actually surprised by the results of the test.
Fans were waiting for a fight between Jackson Rampage and Lawal. There were several rumors that they would fight in February, 2012. But the dreams of fans were not justified. Lawal has to serve a suspension.

Ronda Rousey has negative attitude towards steroid users

The UFC president Dana white proclaimed about the end of the female featherweight division in Strikeforce. He noted that it was related to positive of Christiane Cyborg Santos for Winstrol. Dana White claimed that this factor would promote the ending of the whole division. Santos lost her title. That’s why the president of the UFC came to the conclusion related to the end of the division.
It is believed that Dana White didn’t suggest which would be the response of several individuals to the Winstrol metabolites that had been found in Santos’ sample. He didn’t except that a great war would begin on Twitter between famous female fighters.
Rowdy Ronda Rousey that is the top of female MMA featherweight and who has won the bronze medal in judo noted about her dislike to usage of anabolic steroids and her attitude to Cyborg Santos.
Rowdy Rousey made her thoughts about this question public. She expressed them during an interview with TapouT Radio. Rowdy Rousey pointed out that administration of steroids was caused by uncertainty of sportspeople in their skills, strength and abilities. Rowdy Rousey explained that the decision to administrate performance-enhancing drugs came from the thoughts that the persons were not enough skilled to win in competitions. She added that usage of steroids and other related medications displayed psychological weakness of users. According to this female mixed martial artist, this weakness induces lying.
Rowdy Rousey mentioned about her attitude to the suspension of Cyborg Santos during various interviews. This lady talked to Mauro Ranallo during “The MMA Show” that she knew that Cyborg Santos had taken controlled medications. Rowdy Rousey said that she never had respect toward Santos. Rowdy Rousey concluded that she was happy to find out that Santos had been caught and suspended.
As for Santos, she became indignant because of Rousey’s words. She told her fans on Twitter that Rousey would be her next victim at the fight. The fight will probably be after successful serving of the ban by Santos. She thinks that she will be welcomed by Strikeforce.
Santos wrote following wordsto Rowdy Ronda Rousey: “Proxima victim…Ronda! No mercy!!” Santos hosted a photo of Gina Carano after she defeated her at Strikeforce Female Championship. But she didn’t host the real photo. Instead of it, Cyborg Santos used Photoshop to exaggerate the damages which were imposed by her upon Gina Carano.
Rowdy Rousey didn’t hesitate a lot; she responded to the comments and the image immediately. She had harsh expressions for Cyborg Santos, blaming her for lying and for hosting the picture, using Photoshop.
Numerous individuals believe that the war on Twitter between Rowdy Ronda Rousey and Christiane Cyborg Santos is more entertaining than some real fights. It seems that this war is the preparation for the fight between Rousey and Santos that will probably take place in 2013.
